CocoClean is plastic-free and packed in recyclable paper cartons. Unlike pods and detergent sheets, CocoClean contains no PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) — a synthetic plastic film used to coat most single-use laundry pods and sheets.

Powder is more concentrated than liquid detergent, which is largely water. This means less material per load and no need for plastic jugs. Powder also allows us to include sodium percarbonate (oxygen bleach) — an ingredient that is absent from many liquid detergents. Laundry pods are coated in PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) — a synthetic plastic film designed to dissolve in water. Research is ongoing regarding how completely PVA breaks down in wastewater treatment systems. Detergent sheets similarly rely on PVA or synthetic film binders. Both formats also limit your ability to adjust dosage for different load sizes. CocoClean powder in a paper carton contains no PVA or synthetic film of any kind, and dosage is fully adjustable.

Yes — CocoClean laundry powder is formulated for both standard and HE washing machines. The low-sudsing surfactant blend is appropriate for HE machines, which require low-foam detergents to operate properly. Add the powder directly to the drum or the detergent dispenser.

CocoClean laundry powder is formulated across a range of wash temperatures including cold water cycles. Our TAED ingredient is specifically included as a bleach activator that improves oxygen bleach performance at lower wash temperatures — making cold or warm water washing a practical option.

The CocoClean Oxi Booster is a standalone oxygen bleach powder designed to be used alongside your regular laundry detergent for heavily soiled loads, stained items, or whites. Add 1-2 + tablespoon directly to the drum along with your detergent. It’s also an all-surface cleaner for : floor tiles, sinks, shower & tub areas, marble, cement, outdoor furniture, appliances, carpet and upholstery( just make sure to avoid wool as the Oxi can discolor this material). It contains sodium percarbonate, TAED, enzymes, and coconut-derived surfactants. It contains no chlorine bleach.

CocoClean auto dishwasher powder is formulated for standard household dishwashers. Add the recommended amount directly to your dishwasher's detergent dispenser cup before running a cycle. As with any new detergent, we recommend reviewing your dishwasher manufacturer's guidelines for powder detergent compatibility.
